1. Getting Started

Niti Sheet opens as a desktop spreadsheet. You can use it for local workbook files, structured tables, formulas, reports, and licensed offline use.

Use Niti Sheet when you want to keep spreadsheet work on your computer while still having professional spreadsheet tools such as formulas, charts, formatting, import/export, and print output.

Basic workflow

Open Niti Sheet from the Start menu, desktop shortcut, or installed app list.

Create a new workbook or open an existing .cellsheet file.

Enter data into cells and use the formula bar when a cell needs a formula.

Save regularly, or use Save As when you want a separate copy.

Export, print, or save as PDF when you need to share the result.

2. Main Screen Overview

The main window is arranged like a spreadsheet work area: a title bar, workbook commands, formula tools, formatting tools, the grid, and sheet controls.

Common areas

3. Workbooks and Files

A Niti Sheet workbook stores your sheets, cell data, formulas, formatting, charts, images, and related settings.

Create and save a workbook

Choose New to start a blank workbook.

Enter or import data.

Choose Save to write changes to the current file.

Choose Save As to create a new copy with a different name or folder.

Open an existing workbook

Choose Open.

Select the .cellsheet file.

Check the file name in the title bar after it loads.

4. Editing Cells

Click a cell to select it. Type directly into the grid for quick entry, or use the formula bar when the content is long or formula-based.

Everyday editing

Use copy, cut, and paste to move values between cells.

Use undo and redo while correcting mistakes.

Use the fill handle to continue repeated values, series, or formulas.

Use find and replace when you need to locate or update repeated text.

Use selection statistics to quickly inspect selected numeric data.

Recommended shortcuts

5. Formulas

Formulas calculate values from one or more cells. Niti Sheet includes a formula picker and common formula templates to help users enter correct formulas faster.

Formula categories

Use a formula

Select the result cell.

Open the formula picker or type the formula in the formula bar.

Choose the needed cell references or ranges.

Confirm the formula and check the calculated result.

Copy or fill the formula to other rows if needed.

6. Formatting

Formatting makes a worksheet easier to read and present. Apply formatting after the data structure is clear.

Use bold or italic to mark headings and important values.

Use fill color and text color for status, category, or priority.

Use left, center, and right alignment based on the type of content.

Use wrap text for long notes inside a cell.

Use auto size when content is hidden by narrow columns or rows.

Use table formatting when a range should behave like a clear data table.

7. Sheets and Nested Sheets

A workbook can contain multiple normal sheets. Niti Sheet also supports nested sheets, which are detailed child sheets connected to a parent cell or record.

Normal sheets

Add sheets for separate topics.

Rename sheets so the purpose is clear.

Delete sheets only when you no longer need the data.

Nested sheets

Use a nested sheet when one cell needs detailed sub-records.

Open the nested sheet from the parent cell.

Use the parent sheet path/stack to return to the main sheet.

Nested sheets are useful for invoices, student details, stock details, tasks, or item-level records.

8. Import, Export, and Sharing

Niti Sheet can move data between workbook files and common external formats.

9. Charts and Images

Charts help explain numeric data visually. Images help add logos, references, screenshots, or supporting visuals to a sheet.

Charts

Select or prepare the data range.

Insert or create the chart.

Review the chart title, labels, and layout.

Move, edit, copy, cut, paste, or delete the chart as needed.

Images

Choose the image import option.

Select the image file.

Place it where it supports the worksheet content.

Delete images that are no longer needed to keep the file clean.

10. Data Tools

Data tools help you clean, search, organize, and review a worksheet.

Sort data to arrange rows by value, name, date, amount, or category.

Filter data to show only matching rows.

Clear filters to return to the full view.

Use find and replace for repeated corrections.

Use data quality and dashboard tools to review the health of the sheet.

Use high/low or conditional highlighting to make important values visible.

11. Validation and Forms

Validation tools help keep data consistent. Form and schema tools help create structured entry screens from spreadsheet data.

Validation workflow

Set validation rules for the required cells or range.

Enter or import data.

Run validation or schema checks.

Fix highlighted problems.

Clear validation rules only when they are no longer needed.

Forms and schema tools

Use the designer to prepare structured fields.

Use show form when data entry is easier through a form view.

Use schema-to-form when a schema should become an entry form.

Use nested schema options for parent-child data structures.

12. Printing and Page Setup

Use page setup before printing or exporting to PDF. This helps prevent cut-off rows, badly scaled output, or unnecessary pages.

Open page setup.

Check paper size, margins, orientation, and scaling.

Preview the output if available.

Print or save as PDF.

Review the PDF before sending it to others.

13. Activation and Licensing

Niti Sheet can run as a demo or as an activated licensed app. Activation connects this installed app to a license in your Nitiware account.

What you need for activation

Email used with the Nitiware account.

License ID shown in My Licenses.

Activation Code generated from the license panel.

Internet access during activation or validation.

Activate the app

Open the activation panel from the app.

Enter Email, License ID, and Activation Code.

Optionally enter a device name so you can recognize the computer later.

Click Activate.

Restart or continue using the app after successful activation if requested.

Demo activation

Use Activate Demo only when you want to start demo use.

Demo rules are controlled by the license system.

If demo is already used or ended, purchase or activate a license from My Licenses.

Moving to another computer

Regenerate the activation code from My Licenses when moving devices.

The old device may stop validating after the license is regenerated for a new device.

Keep only your own valid license details.

14. Recovery and Troubleshooting

Niti Sheet includes recovery support to help protect recent work after unexpected closing, power loss, or app crash.

Recovery

If recovery is offered on startup, review the recovered file before continuing.

Save recovered work with a clear file name.

If you do not need a recovery file, continue with the normal workbook.

Common issues

15. Best Practices

Save important work as .cellsheet before exporting to other formats.

Use separate sheets for separate topics and clear sheet names for navigation.

Keep formulas simple where possible, and test them on a small range first.

Use formatting to clarify data, not to hide unclear structure.

Use validation for data that must follow a fixed format or allowed value list.

Export a PDF copy before sending final reports outside your team.

Keep your license information private and regenerate activation codes only when needed.
